  • crowst or croust – a lunch, or a feed.
  • fuggan – a Cornish heavycake.
  • hoggan – unleavened dough filled with pork; also used as a term for a miner’s bag.
  • likky – leek.
  • mate – meat.
  • mate an tiddy oggy – meat and potato pasty.
  • neaps – turnips or swede.
  • oggy or oggie – a pasty. Thought to derive from ‘hoggan’.
  • rutabaga – swede or turnip.
  • snap – miner’s meal.
